After leaving the Gulf Coast, we headed northwest. The weather had finally warmed up into the 70s and it was a Sunday. Not much traffic and a nice relaxing drive to Kerrville, which is northwest of San Antonio and in the Hill Country. I believe the tree is a Texas Live Oak we discovered while hiking in Kerrville-Schreiner Park, our camping location.
A nice view to the east along the west side of the park.
A nice quiet site all by ourselves! We normally do not connect to water, but in this case our tank was nearly empty.
We like it here. The people are friendly and they drive better than around the bigger cities. It is very dry however, and burn bans are in place. Every morning an overcast sky of stratocumulus clouds and/or fog greets you, followed by sunshine in the afternoon.
