Another monument to Indian labor, Abo Mission.
This is puzzling, a kiva in a mission.
It is amazing to me, how long the wood lasts.
Definitely a plan here. The nave portion is at the bottom.
Fifty foot high.
Looking to the northwest, Manzano Mountains. The elevation here is about 6500 feet.
The view looking southwest.
Buttressing on the walls. Pretty impressive.
The view from the pueblo living areas. Those mounds are what remains of the pueblos. Interesting that the forced construction outlasted the original living quarters.
